16/5/05 Sunny and sweaty

What on earth am I doing?

How come I ever come to this site again?

Coz somebody sent me a comment on my site.

Did anyone ever read my diary?

Did anyone really care?

I should be happy but am said.

I should be accompanied but am alone.

I'm confused.

Sunny Sunday 6/7/03

Hello! I'm sorry for not writing the diary for a week. Coz I was busy ma...

Let me give a quick review on what happened last week.

On 27/06/03, UCH AED went to Island Shangri-la to have buffet as scheduled. Since I was going to have IELTS on the next day, I really didn't eat much for I was afraid of getting GE. Actually I only ate 3 dishes...including a tiny amount of sashimi and lobsters...It's really a waste of $$ ah!

Anyway, if one day I feel awfully hungry and my pocket is full of cash, I'll go there again coz the food there is definitely delicious.  How about going there with you guys?

On 2 July, I was transferred back to XR department. To be honest, I missed the AED. I was no doubt a useful member there but it seemed quite the opposite in XRD. All I need to do in one day is to write report on 20 plain XRs and then ask my senior to check with me. The rest of the time is free. Some may argue that my life is enjoyable but to assure you IT IS NOT!

I really hope that I can learn fast and one day, I'll contribute something to this department.

One thing worth mentioning on my first day of XR life...There was an emergency in the USG room and I dashed there by reflex. When I arrived there, no case MO was around coz he/she was busy putting on the resus garments and when I asked the nurses, all they said was the patient had SOB.

At that time, the BP was 60/35 but the patient was conscious, though fighting hard for breath. The lungs are OK. In fact, the patient had Hx of SSS and CHF...At that time, I really want to set up an IV assess for her...

Then I realized that the time needed to send the patient to AED resus room is even shorter then that required for a nurse to set a drip in XRD...

So the patient was eventually sent to AED and was found to have VT. Luckily she survived after defrib. One thing I learnt about resus in XRD. The most important thing to do for a sudden deteriorating patient was to send him across the corridor to AED. That's the only way a life can be saved.

Yesterday, I went out with my old friends. We had dinner/drink/took sticker photo and sang K "straight down" It's really FUN. I haven't done that for a long long time and I'm fully satisfied.

25/06/03 Sunny

Today I have day-off again

Finally I decided not to go to yatching with my colleagues because of 3 reasons|

1. I'm afraid of motion sickness. I can get really serious ones!

2. I have a generalized skin allergy.

3. I don't want to wear swimsuits in front of some of my colleagues

Anyway, I spent my day meaningfully.

I had my hair cut by May (again)

Though nothing special about it, she already did very well

And I prepared for the IELTS exam

I really worried about writing

It's difficult to score high in Task 1 - describing a chart

And it's difficult to write with good structure and style in Task 2 - argumentative writing

Definitely, I need to practise more!

24/06/03

Sunny, too sunny indeed

Today I went to a secondary school which I am responsible to act as an adviser

It's not a famous school at all

Actually the banding is quite bad

But the principal and the teachers are open-minded

They have quite a number or extra-curricular activities

At least more than SPCC

I like the atmosphere there

But I won't get involved in any activities until September

Coz the school cannot arrange a suitable time for me to do so....

Anyway....

And today is my 2nd Jazz class

I think I catch up better than the last class

But I believe I'm still the one with the poorest memory

Wooowooooo...:(

I couldn't remember the steps at all!!!

All I've been doing during the dance class was to peep and other people and follow them. Poor me!

I'll try my best!

23/06/03

Sunny sleeping day

Yesterday was my last night shift at AED

I dared not tell my colleagues about that because people said one would work like a dog on his first and last night. But it turned out to be a peaceful one, at least before 3am.

I'm quite happy

Kind of relieved

On the other hand, I'm a little bit worried about my new job

Will I have good performance at Radiology?

Will I get along well with my colleagues?

Can I pass the specialty exams?

Only God knows
